Cabinets Hand Wash in Kitchen, Bathrooms, or Laundryroom

This service is included in Spring Clean and Move-In/Out.  Deluxe and CORE cleaning includes dusting and spot-cleaning cabinets as needed.  If you want to add hand washing cabinets during the year or periodically, we can add them.  It is not advised to hand wash cabinets every time we clean recurring customers because repeated hand washing of cabinets may dull or damage the shine or even remove wood stain color.  We use a mild soap and water solution but repeated wet wiping can damage cabinets.

PRICE:  $5.00 per standard single door.  Example: A bathroom lower cabinet that has two doors would be $10.  Front and side of cabinets hand-washed clean, in addition to the front cabinets.

Refrigerator Interior Cleaned

We have two types of refrigerator cleaning. We have Move-In/Out cleaning where the frig is empty, and All other cleaning plans when the frig is full of food.  Both refrigerator cleanings are optional.  Prices are on the pricing tool

The Move-Out is priced lower because it is empty.  When the frig is full, we have to take all the food out, then clean the inside, and then put the food back into the frig in an orderly fashion if we can.

Oven Door Window

Inside Cabinets & Drawers

It is customary to include this task in a Move-In/Out cleaning because these areas are empty of contents.  We use a canister vacuum to get all the crumbs from the edges and corners, and then hand wash all surfaces.

We do not empty cabinets and drawers.  That preparation is completed by the homeowner.  If you place those items on the counter, then we cannot clean the counter or any area covered with clutter.

The prices are for the INTERIOR of the cabinets, not the exterior.  Exterior clean is outlined above.

Price:  $6 per door cabinet        $3 per drawer

Our floor cleaner is the best in the industry.  It also dries fairly quickly for spot free floors.

Pricing is based on the size of the floors you want dry mopped.  The cleaners can give you a price once they see your floors and confirm with the office.

Recommendations - Cleaning Services

Recommendations

Remove rooms that are seldom used

Do you have a bedroom or bathroom that gets little to no use?  Don't pay to clean a clean room.  And whenever you want us to clean that room, just add it on the day of your cleaning.  Just leave a note for the maids.

Spring Clean (Deep Cleaning)

If you answer YES to any of these questions, you probably need a Spring Clean.  If you answer YES to two or more of these questions, then you definitely need a Spring Clean.

Q:  Do you have heavy soap scum or stains in any showers or tubs?

Q:  Do your kitchen cabinets have food spots or stains?

Q:  Are any of your baseboards dirty or have lots of dust?

Q:  Are your window blinds dirty, dingy, or have lots of dust?

Q:  If you run a finger across furniture or decorations, do you see a line in the dust?

Q:  Has it been more than a year since you last wet wiped clean your cabinets, baseboard, blinds, ceiling fans?

A deep cleaning (we call it Spring Cleaning) is a great way to start off any cleaning program.  You can get your home in the best condition, and then book recurring to keep it that way all year.

Spring Cleaning cleans by hand, all your doors, door frames, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, top to bottom, as well as any cabinets in the laundry room.  Your baseboards get hand-washed clean on hands and knees, which is why baseboards tend to be the most neglected space in a home, just because of the physical requirements of doing that cleaning task on your hands and knees.  That would be a tall order for anyone at any age.  That's when we step in.  We would send a team of cleaners to tackle a task that is nearly impossible for one person to do.

We don't stop there, we will hand clean your window blinds and window sills, all the woodwork in your home, like stairs, and ceiling fans we can reach, or using our extension poles.

Just imagine how great your home will look after a Spring Cleaning.  It will look like a new home.  The most common time to do this cleaning is right before people list their home for sale.  What a shame to wait for someone else to appreciate your home.  Why wait?  Get your home in its best condition while you are still living there.  Just sayin. :-)

Bi-Weekly vs. Monthly service

Monthly Service is the most popular cleaning frequency in the industry.  The industry average of customers:

Weekly - 5%

Bi-Weekly - 40%

Monthly - 55%

Monthly service (every 4 weeks) is a great option and is trending with new customers.  Although Bi-Weekly service is a lower cost per cleaning, Monthly service is a much lower overall cost per month compared to two and sometimes three cleanings a month with Bi-Weekly.

If you answer Yes to any of these questions, Monthly service may be your best choice.

Q:  Do you want a break once a month so you can have a weekend to yourself?

Q:  Would you like a professional to clean places you may not, or cannot, reach during your normal cleaning routine?

Q:  Would you like a professional to vacuum and mop ALL your floors once a month?

Q:  No kids living at home, so your home just doesn't get that dirty?

Q:  Are you looking for the most cost-effective cleaning plan?

Monthly Service

Monthly service is actually on a 4-week rotation, not, for example, on the 3rd Friday of the month.  Not just with us, but with most maid services.  It's a scheduling thing, coordinating Bi-Weekly services in and around the monthly customers.  You actually get 13 cleanings a year on a 4 week rotation, and your cleaning date will wind down every month. So if your first recurring is on the 25th of the month, the next month it might be on the 23rd, and next month, the 20th, for example.  What some customers will do is when they get to the point where they have a cleaning on the 3rd of the month, and in the same month, the 27th, they will combine both of those days to like the 15th, and then their next month would be on the 25th.  Hope you followed that, but that's how it works with just about any maid company.

If you choose Monthly and you want to slip in another cleaning in between, it's just a phone call away.  We recommend booking any additional cleanings one week out.  Yes, we do sell out, although we often accommodate next-day cleanings.

Monthly service has seen a significant surge over the past 4 years.  I think the pandemic had something to do with that.  People were at home more and had lots of free time, so people who had never cleaned before found that cleaning their own homes wasn't too hard.  We have seen a recent trend of Bi-Weekly and Monthly being about even on new customer requests for frequencies.  Maybe people found cleaning on their own was not how they wanted to spend their free time.  Ha !

Bi-Weekly Service.

Biweekly service strikes a balance between budget and cleanliness. Most homes stay in good condition for about two weeks before dust, bathrooms, and floors start demanding attention again.

Some customers who start off with Weekly service change to Bi-Weekly because their home may not have enough activity to warrant weekly service.  Bi-Weekly is kind of the sweet spot in having your home looking its best throughout the year.

Final Thoughts on Frequency

Don't worry about picking the wrong frequency. You can change whenever you want.  Many people are so excited after their Spring Cleaning that they choose Bi-Weekly, but soon discover, for one reason or another, that Monthly best meets their needs.

In the end, don't feel like you're locked into anything long-term.  Maybe you want to take the summer off from cleaning your home, or you are recovering from a medical procedure, or you have recently welcomed a new child to the family.  Getting your home cleaned by a Professional Cleaner is about your convenience and what fits your needs at any time.

And some long-term customers call us every three months for an Occasional Deluxe.  We're here to help you whenever you need your time freed up for more important things like going to an Atlanta United game, or Weekend at the beach, or every weekend to enjoy life, because It's Maid Day is there to take that life task off your plate.

Our Recommendation on Frequency

If you are unsure which frequency is best for you, start with Bi-Weekly.  It really is the sweet spot.  If you want total freedom from home cleaning, Bi-Weekly is it.  Monthly service is a great break from cleaning, where Bi-Weekly is the total solution.  Every weekend is free to do whatever you want.  No worries and all the freedom to live life to the fullest.

Team Cleaning vs. Individual Cleaners

We are the only maid service that gives you a choice between Individual or Team cleaning.

There are advantages to each choice, depending on what you like.

Regardless of whether it's a Team of cleaners or an Individual,

  • The Price is the same

  • They're real employees, not 1099 sub-contractors, so they're all Bonded & Insured, and background checked.

  • They're all Certified Professional Cleaners by Maid Training Academy, the world leader in training home cleaners.

  • Your satisfaction is always guaranteed

Now, here are the differences.

  • Team Cleaning gets done faster because there are 2 or 3 cleaners on the job, compared to an Individual Cleaner.  If your recurring service is 2 hours with a team 2 cleaners, then an individual cleaner will be in your home 4 hours.

  • A team can schedule up to 4 customers a day with arrival times of 8:30, 10:30, 1:00, and 3:00

    • An individual cleaner cleans 2 houses a day at 8:30 and 1:00

  • A team has 35-40 recurring customers.

    • An individual has just 20 customers, so they get to know your home a little better and faster because they have fewer customers.

  • A team has a mix of Senior Cleaners and New Cleaners

    • An individual cleaner is always a Senior Cleaner and must have extensive house cleaning experience.

    • Individuals are required to work for us on a team first so we can evaluate their work and their attendance.  The minimum requirement, regardless of experience is 6 months so we can evaluate their attendance and quality consistency.

      • A person with poor attendance or inconsistent cleaning cannot become an Individual cleaner

  • An Individual Cleaner is our highest paying job because they work from home, and drive their own car, so we can pay them about $4 more an hour, without impacting the price customers pay for service.  That is why Team Cleaning and Individual cleaning are priced the same.

  • Our turnover rate of Individual Cleaners is much lower than team cleaners in part because they are paid more and they are seasoned veterans who have made a decision that house cleaning is their long-term career.

    • And because they are more experienced they tend to be a little more mature.  All of our Individual Cleaners are over the age of 30 with a median age of 44.  The median age of our team cleaners is 31.

  • Team schedules change when one person on the team calls out, or has time off, resulting in different teams cleaning your home about 25%-50% of the time.  This is true with all maid companies that use teams.

    • An individual cleaner is the same person cleaning your home 75%-100% of the time and if you desire, we can reschedule your cleaning when your cleaner has a day off to the next availability of your Individual Cleaner.

    • Plus, Indiviual Cleaners have a track record of not exceeding our time off policy as a requirement for that position.

  • Individual Cleaners are cleaners that have more experience and are our highest-rated cleaners by customers. They are cleaners who have chosen house cleaning as their profession.

  • Individual Cleaners are only available for recurring service.  Initial Cleanings like Spring Cleaning, or Occasional Deluxe / CORE cleaning are too big for just one cleaner.

  • Many of our Teams are run by seasoned cleaners, with great reviews and good attendance so our Teams still provide high-quality cleaning, so you will be happy with either option.

Regardless of your choice, your satisfaction is always guaranteed.

And when your cleaner does have a day off or calls out sick, regardless if it's a team or individual, we can usually get another team or person to clean your home, so your service should have no or limited interruptions.
